Notice

Important legal notice

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Talent Pro-Max League (“TPL”) website at www.talentproleague.co.uk and any TPL-controlled digital pages, player-profile areas, scouting features, statistics, rankings, video, highlights, forms, polls, competitions, communications and other online services that expressly refer to these Terms (together, the “Platform”).

By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform. Separate terms may apply to tournament entry, tickets, merchandise, sponsorship, employment, volunteering, apprenticeships, work experience, media participation or other paid or offline services.

These Terms should be read together with TPL’s Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Safeguarding Policy, Competition Rules and any specific terms presented when you register, purchase, enter a competition, upload content or participate in a TPL activity.

Section 01

1. About TPL

Talent Pro-Max League (“TPL”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a football competition, talent identification, digital scouting, media, and community platform. TPL’s activities may include organised football competitions, player profiles, performance statistics, match footage and highlights, rankings, talent exposure, entertainment, community engagement, education, apprenticeships and work-experience opportunities.

For website enquiries, you may contact TPL through the contact details published on www.talentproleague.co.uk. Where a legal entity, registered office, company number, or regulatory details are required by law, TPL should ensure that the current details are displayed on the Website and in the relevant legal notice before these Terms are published.

Section 02

2. Eligibility and children

The Platform may be used by adults and, where appropriate, young people. Certain TPL competitions, player profiles, scouting functions or media activities may involve participants under 18.

  • If you are under 18, you should use the Platform and provide personal information only in accordance with TPL’s age-appropriate processes and, where required, with the involvement or consent of a parent or legal guardian.
  • A parent or guardian who registers, purchases or provides consent for a child is responsible for ensuring that information supplied is accurate and that the child understands the relevant rules.
  • Nothing on the Platform creates a guarantee of selection, scouting, academy placement, employment, representation, scholarship or a professional football contract.
  • Safeguarding concerns must be reported using TPL’s published safeguarding reporting route. Emergency or immediate-risk situations should be referred to the appropriate emergency or statutory services.
Section 03

3. Access to the Platform

The Platform is made available on an “as available” basis. We may update, change, suspend, restrict or withdraw any part of it for operational, security, legal, safeguarding or commercial reasons. We do not guarantee that the Platform, or any particular content or feature, will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

You are responsible for your internet connection, equipment and any charges incurred in accessing the Platform. You must ensure that anyone who accesses the Platform through your connection or account is aware of and complies with these Terms.

Section 04

4. Accounts, registrations and security

Some features may require an account or registration. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information and keep it up to date. You must keep passwords, verification codes and other security credentials confidential and must not allow another person to impersonate you.

You must notify TPL promptly if you know or suspect that your account has been accessed without authority. We may suspend or disable an account where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect users, TPL, the integrity of a competition, or to safeguard security or legal compliance.

Section 05

5. Player profiles, statistics, rankings and scouting information

TPL may publish or make available player profiles, match appearances, goals, assists, disciplinary records, performance information, rankings, footage, highlights, interviews and other football-related information. Such information may be compiled from match officials, TPL personnel, technology providers, video review, teams, players or other sources.

  • Statistics and rankings are informational and may contain delays, corrections, omissions or reasonable differences of interpretation.
  • TPL may correct, amend, remove or reclassify information where appropriate.
  • A profile, ranking, highlight or scouting feature is not an endorsement or professional assessment and does not guarantee that a player will be contacted or selected by a club, scout, agent or other third party.
  • Third-party clubs, scouts, coaches, agents and viewers are responsible for their own assessments and decisions.

Where personal data is involved, its collection, publication, sharing, and retention are governed by TPL’s Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.

Section 06

6. Match footage, photography and media

TPL may create, commission, host, or distribute match recordings, highlights, photographs, interviews, promotional material, social-media content and longer-form programming in connection with its competitions and community activities. The legal basis, permissions and notices applicable to identifiable individuals, particularly children, must be handled through the relevant registration, consent, safeguarding and privacy processes.

Unless TPL expressly permits otherwise, users may view TPL media for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not commercially exploit, rebroadcast, scrape, systematically download, sell, license, alter or create an unauthorised commercial product from TPL footage, photographs, graphics, statistics or other protected material.

Section 07

7. Intellectual property rights

Unless otherwise stated, TPL or its licensors own or license the intellectual property rights in the Platform and its content, including names, logos, branding, competition identities, graphics, text, databases, software, layouts, photographs, footage, highlights, interviews, audio, statistics compilations and other materials (“TPL Materials”).

You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use TPL Materials for lawful personal and non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

You must not, without prior written permission from TPL or the relevant rights owner:
  • copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, license or commercially exploit TPL Materials;
  • remove or alter copyright, trade mark, credit, watermark or proprietary notices;
  • use TPL names, logos, badges or branding in a way that suggests sponsorship, approval, partnership or affiliation where none exists;
  • create merchandise, promotional materials, domain names, social-media identities or commercial services using TPL intellectual property; or
  • extract or reuse a substantial part of any TPL database, statistics service or content collection.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to a user.

Section 08

8. User-generated content

If you upload, submit, tag, send or otherwise provide photographs, video, audio, comments, profile material, testimonials, suggestions or other content (“User Content”), you remain responsible for that content and must have all rights and permissions needed to provide it.

To the extent necessary to operate, promote and improve TPL and the Platform, you grant TPL a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, communicate, adapt for technical formatting, and distribute that User Content through TPL-controlled channels. Any broader promotional or commercial use involving identifiable participants will remain subject to applicable law, privacy notices, consents and safeguarding requirements.

  • You must not upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, obscene, deceptive, invasive of privacy, infringing, or likely to place a child or other person at risk.
  • You must not upload another person’s personal information, image or confidential material without an appropriate lawful basis or permission.
  • We may remove, restrict or preserve User Content where reasonably necessary for moderation, safeguarding, legal compliance, investigation or enforcement.
Section 09

9. Acceptable use

You may use the Platform only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, another user’s account, servers, databases or connected systems;
  • introduce viruses, malware, malicious code, denial-of-service activity or other technologically harmful material;
  • scrape, crawl, harvest or systematically extract data except where expressly permitted in writing or required by law;
  • use bots, automation or manipulation to distort polls, rankings, engagement, registrations or competition-related data;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, age, team, role, qualifications or affiliation;
  • harass, bully, threaten, discriminate against or exploit another user or participant;
  • contact a child through the Platform in a manner inconsistent with TPL safeguarding rules;
  • use the Platform for unauthorised advertising, spam, recruitment, scouting representation or commercial solicitation; or
  • do anything that could damage TPL’s systems, competitions, reputation, rights, users or legitimate operations.
Section 10

10. Community standards and conduct

TPL is intended to provide a safe, respectful and inclusive environment. Content and interactions must comply with applicable law and TPL policies. TPL may moderate or remove content and may restrict access where conduct is reasonably considered to be abusive, discriminatory, threatening, fraudulent, unsafe, exploitative, or inconsistent with safeguarding obligations.

Where appropriate, serious matters may be referred to competition organisers, governing bodies, safeguarding authorities, law-enforcement agencies or other competent authorities.

Section 11

11. Links and third-party services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, social networks, video platforms, payment providers, ticketing systems, sponsors, clubs, scouts or other services. These links are provided for convenience or functionality. TPL does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, privacy practices or contractual terms.

A link or reference does not by itself mean that TPL endorses a third party. You should review the third party’s own terms and privacy information before using its service.

Section 12

12. Linking to the TPL website

You may link to the public home page of the TPL website in a fair and lawful manner that does not damage TPL’s reputation or falsely suggest association, approval, sponsorship or endorsement. You must not frame the Website on another site or use TPL branding as a link without permission, where doing so would imply an official relationship.

TPL may withdraw linking permission where reasonably necessary to protect its rights, users or reputation.

Section 13

13. Purchases, entry fees and paid services

Where the Platform enables payment for tournament entry, tickets, merchandise, subscriptions, sponsorship, advertising or other services, additional terms and payment conditions may apply. Those specific terms will prevail to the extent of any inconsistency concerning that transaction.

Prices, eligibility, cancellation rights, refunds, postponements and event-specific rules should be stated in the applicable Competition Terms, Terms of Sale or booking conditions. Nothing in these Website Terms removes any mandatory consumer rights that apply under law.

Section 14

14. Competitions, promotions, polls and fantasy features

TPL may operate competitions, prize draws, voting, polls, fantasy features or promotional campaigns. Each may be governed by additional rules covering eligibility, opening and closing dates, voting limits, prizes, verification and disqualification. Where additional rules apply, participation constitutes acceptance of those rules.

TPL may take reasonable steps to detect automated, fraudulent or manipulated activity and may disregard affected entries, votes or results where permitted by the applicable rules and law.

Section 15

15. Information on the Platform

TPL aims to keep information reasonably accurate and current but does not warrant that all content will be complete, error-free or up to date. Fixtures, venues, kick-off times, squads, statistics, rankings, prices, programmes and availability may change.

General information on the Platform is not legal, medical, financial, employment, immigration, agent, scouting or professional-career advice. Users should obtain appropriate professional advice where needed.

Section 16

16. Football participation and inherent risk

Information on the Platform does not replace event-specific safety instructions, medical advice, competition rules or participant waivers. Football and attendance at sporting events involve inherent risks. Participants and attendees must comply with venue rules, match officials, safety instructions and any relevant TPL competition terms.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any duty or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Section 17

17. Privacy, cookies and electronic communications

TPL’s processing of personal data is governed by its Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection legislation. The use of cookies and similar technologies is governed by TPL’s Cookie Policy and consent mechanisms.

If you subscribe to newsletters or marketing communications, you may unsubscribe using the method provided in the communication or other available preference controls. Service messages necessary to administer an account, booking, competition or safeguarding matter may still be sent where lawful.

Section 18

18. Platform security

We take reasonable steps to protect the Platform but cannot guarantee that internet transmissions or online systems are completely secure or free from vulnerabilities. You are responsible for using appropriate security measures on your own devices.

You must not misuse the Platform by knowingly introducing malicious material or attempting unauthorised access. Suspected unlawful attacks may be reported to relevant authorities, and TPL may cooperate with lawful investigations.

Section 19

19. Suspension and termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Platform, an account, or a feature where reasonably necessary due to a breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, safeguarding concerns, security risks, legal or regulatory requirements, misuse of intellectual property, manipulation of platform features, or risk to another person.

Where appropriate and lawful, TPL may give notice or an opportunity to respond. Immediate action may be taken where required to protect a child, another user, TPL systems or the integrity of a competition.

Section 20

20. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

If you are a consumer, TPL does not exclude rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to those rights, TPL is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you began using the Platform, or for business losses arising from consumer use.

If you use the Platform for business or commercial purposes, then, to the maximum extent permitted by law, TPL excludes implied warranties and will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill or data arising from use of or inability to use the Platform.

TPL is not responsible for the independent decisions, representations or conduct of third-party clubs, scouts, agents, sponsors, service providers or other users merely because they access or are referenced through the Platform.

Section 21

21. Your responsibility

You are responsible for losses reasonably incurred by TPL as a result of your unlawful use of the Platform, infringement of third-party rights, or material breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law. This clause does not require a consumer to indemnify TPL beyond what is lawful and fair.

Section 22

22. Reporting infringement, misuse or concerns

If you believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright, trade mark, privacy or other rights, or if you identify unlawful, abusive or unsafe content, please contact TPL using the contact route published on the Website. Provide enough information to identify the material and explain the concern.

Safeguarding concerns involving a child or adult at risk should be reported promptly through TPL’s safeguarding process. Where there is immediate danger, contact the emergency services.

Section 23

23. Changes to these Terms

We may amend these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Platform, TPL activities, law, regulation, technology or operational requirements. The current version will be published on the Website with an updated effective date.

Where a change materially affects registered users and it is reasonable and practicable to do so, TPL may provide additional notice. Continued use after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, subject to applicable law.

Section 24

24. General legal provisions

24.1 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as modified or deleted to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

24.2 No waiver

If TPL delays or fails to enforce a right, that does not mean TPL has waived that right.

24.3 Transfer

TPL may transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms as part of a reorganisation, a transfer of business or operation of the Platform, provided that this does not reduce the mandatory rights available to consumers. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms where the rights are personal to you without TPL’s consent.

24.4 Third-party rights

Unless expressly stated otherwise, a person who is not a party to these Terms has no right to enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

Section 25

25. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer resident in the United Kingdom, you may have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live. If you are using the Platform for business purposes, the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rule of law.
